This Privacy Policy explains how Starfield (“Starfield”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. What We Collect
We process only the data required to deliver our AI calling and translation features:
- Audio streams processed in real time (never stored)
- Text transcripts temporarily retained (≤ 60 minutes)
- Call metadata (timestamps, language, connection logs)
- Account data (email, name, subscription status)
2. Why We Process Data
We process this data to:
- Provide real-time transcription and translation during calls
- Display conversation content for user clarity and correction
- Ensure service reliability and prevent abuse
- Comply with security and billing obligations
Processing is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) in providing assistive communication functionality.
3. How Long We Keep Data

4. Data Sharing
We rely on trusted third-party providers to process data solely for the purpose of delivering our service — for example, Supabase (database hosting), OpenAI (language processing), Deepgram (speech-to-text), and DeepL (translation).
These providers publicly state compliance with GDPR and similar privacy frameworks.
We do not have separate contractual data-processing agreements at this stage, and we never sell or share personal data for advertising or model-training purposes.
5. International Transfers
If data is processed outside Switzerland or the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and data-processing agreements.
6. Your Rights
You may:
- Access, correct, or delete your data
- Withdraw consent or delete your account
- Request data deletion at any time by emailing eskil@starfield.app
7. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, limited access controls, and automatic data deletion policies.
8. Updates
We may update this Policy to reflect product or legal changes.
Material updates will be announced via email or in-app notice.
